KID ROCK’S ‘BORN FREE’ TO BE MLB PLAY-OFFS THEME

Kid Rock’s red-white-and-blue résumé is about to get the ball entry.
The rousing, nationalistic “Born Free,” the pretension lane from the Detroit rocker’s arriving album, has been enlisted by TBS as the central selling thesis for the network’s Major League Baseball postseason coverage.
Turner Sports has combined the 2 1/2 -minute video for the song, which intersperses ball footage as well as scenes from Rock’s new concerts during DTE Energy Music Theatre. That full-length video will entrance Friday upon National CineMedia’s 14,600 film screens, together with Star as well as Cinemark theaters in metro Detroit.
